About Us

Founded in 1973 by the Late Mr Suman Shah, Paras has grown into a trusted name in the engineering plastics industry, backed by more than five decades of expertise. What began as a modest journey in tool development and plastics processing has evolved into a diversified group serving critical sectors, including Indian Railways, Agro Pumps, Telecom, and a wide range of Industrial Applications.

The foundation of the Paras Group was progressively built through strategic expansions. In 1984, Mr Shah established Shah Plastics & Engineering Works, focusing on agro pump components. This was followed in 1990 by the incorporation of Paras Plastics, marking the company’s entry into Indian Railways' tendering process, an initiative that soon positioned Paras among the key suppliers to IR. With the formation of Paras Agro Plast Private Limited in Bilimora, Gujarat, in 1994, the group consolidated its capabilities and created what eventually became its flagship company.

Today, the group operates four advanced manufacturing units in Bilimora, Gujarat, and one in Vasai, Maharashtra. All facilities are equipped with modern injection moulding technology, in-house tool development, R&D capabilities, and fully integrated testing laboratories, enabling Paras to deliver precision-engineered plastic components that meet stringent industry requirements.

Paras specialises in high-performance injection moulded engineering plastics, producing customer and application-specific components using materials such as mPPO (NORYL), mPPS, PC, PBT, ABS, POM, PA6, PA66, flame-retardant grades, and polypropylene with fibre reinforcement up to 40%. For agro pump applications, Paras manufactures durable, high-precision components crafted from engineering polymers and supported by post-moulding machining to achieve tight dimensional tolerances.

Customer-specific application development has always been a core strength.

We prepare drawings and develop 2D and 3D models from provided samples, along with complete tool design and engineering. With over two decades of experience in tool design, we create efficient and effective products.

Our manufacturing capabilities include automatic injection moulding machines, ultrasonic welding machines, and press-fitting machines for the moulding and assembly of plastic components. The company’s facilities are equipped with a research and development centre, as well as product testing and quality control laboratories to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products.

Providing superior products and services remains Paras’s focus across all its injection-moulded components. Headquartered in Mumbai, Paras employs 200 people and operates two manufacturing facilities in Vasai (Mumbai) and Billimora (Gujarat).
